Enjoy good, clean and fair food at the Slow Food Festival!
The Slow Food Festival is taking place for the fifteenth time this year, the second time in Billnäs, and attracts thousands of visitors every year. The festival will be held at the historic and scenic Billnäs Ironworks and the Big Forge and outdoor area on 3–4 October 2026. The Billnäs Ironworks offers exhibitors and visitors a unique experience in a beautiful and inspiring environment. At the festival you can taste, replenish your food supply, talk to food producers, attend lectures on food culture, meet friends and have lunch together.

Entrance fee (paid at the gate):
4€ / person
Children under 18: Free admission

Would you like to sell your products at the Slow Food festival?
Food sold at the festival must be produced on a small scale in the Nordic countries. Organic products are preferred. The origin and quality of the raw materials are guaranteed by the producer. The exhibitor must be the producer of the products themselves. The festival is not open to retailers. Read more about the criteria HERE

Cancellation policy: Fair spaces will be invoiced after registration and the paid invoice serves as confirmation of the space reservation.
If the exhibitor cancels the registration after September 1, 2026, the payment will not be refunded.
Information for exhibitors:
The café is operated by Billnäsin ruukki / Kahvila Ellen, which is located next to the event space on the banks of the Mustionjoki River.
We want to promote the event well in advance – so after registering, we ask you to send us a short description of yourself and any images allowed for marketing to myyntipalvelu@billnas.fi.
Preparations of the fairgrounds will start on Friday, October 2nd from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and dismantling will take place after the event on Sunday from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM. Dismantling of the fairgrounds may not take place during the opening hours of the fair, dismantling will begin at the earliest on Sunday after the doors close at 4:00 PM.
If you arrive on Saturday, you can start preparing the fairgrounds from 8:00 AM. Please note that the fairgrounds must be ready before the doors open at 10:00 AM.

Billnäs Ironworks Restaurant will be open as follows during the event:
