The legendary Popeda will arrive at Billnäsin ruukki to open the summer season with an explosive rock’n’roll party on Friday, May 22, 2026! An evening full of Finnish rock’s biggest hits and uncompromising attitude is promised – just like Popeda does.
Founded in November 1977, Popeda is the most iconic band in Finnish rock. Their decades-long career has been varied and colorful. They have played almost 4,000 gigs and released twenty studio albums, three live albums and seven compilation albums.
The band’s dozens of hits include, among others, ”Kuuma kesä”, ”Kaasua komisaario Peppone”, ”Sukset”, ”Matkalla Alabamaan”, ”Kellot lyö”, ”Punaista ja makeaa”, ”Kersantti Karoliina”, ”Mää ja Tapparan mies”, ”Repe ja Lissu”, ”Tahdotko mut tosiaan”, ”Kakskytä centtiä” and ”Lihaa ja perunaa”.
In addition to their hits, Popeda’s strength has always been their energetic and powerful live performance. The audience knows what to expect at the gig and gets their money’s worth. The set consists of numerous hits, but there is also room for rarer songs.

A VIP ticket offers a higher quality concert experience. In addition to the concert, the ticket price includes:
- Early entry event space Iso Paja at 18:00 (for the general public at 19:00)
- Buffet dinner in Iso Paja’s new VIP space from 18:00-20:00, seating in the dining area
- VIP space with its own cloakroom, bar and toilets
- VIP ticket holders have their own reserved audience area near the stage (standing audience)
