J. Karjalainen, who began his recording career in 1981, is one of Finland’s most popular singers, songwriters and trailblazers of all time. The artist who adapted American music tradition to Finnish conditions has always been in a class of his own, regardless of which corner of that treasure chest he has dug.
J. Karjalainen’s songs such as Three cowboys, Kolme cowboyta, Ankkurinappi, Doris, Sekaisin, Hän, Mies jolle ei koskaan tapahdu mitään, Telepatiaa, Villejä lupiineja, Missä se Väinö on?, Mennyt mies, Stindebinde and many others are an integral part of the Finnish soundscape.
