Pariisin kevät at Billnäsin ruukki 11.7.2025
Pariisin Kevät has returned from a recording break of over four years, when the band’s eighth studio album “Sun yö on pian täällä” was released last year.
From the album, it is worth listening to Puhu mulle, Aavikkoo and Varo mitta toivot as a start. Pariisin Kevät’s all-time hits include Kesäyö, Tämän kylän poikii and Muutolinnut, rantahiekkaa. The Billnäs ironworks venue is one of the most interesting of the gig summer: a rugged 18th-century industrial hall in a beautiful river valley.
According to soloist Arto Tuunela, when making a new album, it felt important to find a balance in how to renew while at the same time preserving the essence of Pariisin Kevät.
This time too, the band wanted to create a comprehensive album, rather than a collection of individual songs. The songs, which were intended to be light, were reshaped during the process and include, among other things, contradictions, joyful melancholy and the loss of friendship and love, which Tuunela describes as ordinary life.
Pariisin kevät has been awarded several precious metals: the band’s debut album Meteoriitti, released in 2007, Jossain on tie ulos, released in 2013, and Kuume, released in 2017, have all crossed the gold record mark, and the hit albums Astronautti (2010) and Kaikki on satua (2012) have sold platinum. Pariisin kevät is Arto Tuunela, Artturi Taira, Ilari Kivelä and Antti Pouta.
The local acts, or warm-ups, of the gig are Harjula and Spriturama (DJ).
The Venue, Iso paja
Billnäs is located in the ironworks area of Western Uusimaa in a beautiful river valley.
The concert hall at Billnäs ironworks is an 18th-century industrial hall, the Big Forge. So rain won’t stop the concert.
Billnäs used to be known for its tools and furniture, but now it’s known for its services. The ironworks village has a unique hotel, restaurants, a chocolate factory and cafés.

- Karjaa railway station is 3 kilometers away. Pre-booking a taxi is highly recommended.
- Iso paja is an indoor venue. Immediately next to it is a hotel and restaurant, as well as meeting rooms for groups.
- For large events, the venue has other drinking and food outlets in addition to the restaurant. There are also terraces outside. The river terrace is magnificent and partially covered!
- The hall of Iso paja is easily accessible by wheelchair, and there is also a threshold-free toilet.
- Gigs are standing rooms, unless otherwise stated. Elsewhere in Iso paja there are restaurant chairs. Only staff are allowed to move chairs.
