Getting Here

Billnäs Ironworks is located in Western Uusimaa, approximately halfway between Helsinki and Turku. It takes just over an hour to drive from Helsinki to Billnäs. You can reach the venue by:


By Car

From Helsinki, it takes a little over an hour to reach Billnäs Ironworks by car, and from Turku city centre about 1.5 hours.

Parking is free. There are several parking areas available. During the biggest public events, parking lots may fill up. In that case, parking is allowed along Ruukintie.

🚫 Please do not drive up to Iso Paja with a private car. Parking in front of the pink hotel building is not allowed.

By Public Transport

All trains between Helsinki and Turku stop at Karjaa railway station, which is located less than 3 kilometres from the venue! Check train timetables on VR’s website.

Exception:
In summer 2025, VR will carry out track work for just over a month.

From Monday 23 June to Sunday 27 July, there will be no direct trains from Helsinki to Karjaa – replacement buses will operate instead (check departure locations). Between Karjaa and Turku, VR will run a limited number of trains.

By Bicycle

You can bring a bicycle on the train, making the trip from the station to Billnäs Ironworks quick and easy.

Western Uusimaa is home to many popular cycling routes near Billnäs Ironworks.

The ironworks and villages in Raseborg are close to each other – for example, it’s less than 10 km to Fiskars. The wooden quarters of Tammisaari and destinations like Chappe are about 20 km away.
